The engine management control equipment (10) includes a microprocessor (11), a single-chip microcomputer, that contains a CPU (13), an electrically erasable and programmable memory (Flash EPROM) (14), a write/read memory (15), a read-only memory (ROM) (16) and a serial interface (17). In the erasable and programmable memory a control program is stored, and in the read only memory, at least a part of the programme for clearing the erasable and programmable memory is stored.The equipment also includes an input/output circuit (12) and an RPM sensor (19) connected to the input (23) of the engine management control equipment and also an ignition lock (18) connected to the input (22), with sensors (20) and actuators (21).
