Magnetic field sensor chip for linear or angular incremental measuring device

The magnetic field sensor chip (1) uses an anisotropic magnetoresistive effect, with magnetoresistive layer strips applied to 4 spaced surfaces (F1,F2,F3,F4) along the sensor chip, connected as the resistor of a full bridge or half bridge circuit. The 4 surfaces lie symmetrical to the chip centre line perpendicular to the movement direction, each containing a set of similar layer strips with their longitudinal directions at different angle to the movement direction for each surface.
