<p>A flexible joint for use in a fluid system, such as in the fluid manifold (10) of a gas turbine engine, is disclosed. The flexible joint (15) includes a joint body (16) defining a socket (18) and a passageway (17). The joint body (16) defines a stop surface (24). A conduit (19) has a front surface (22) which engages the stop surface (24) when maximum angular movement of the flexible joint (15) is reached. A fluid seal (28) is positioned between the conduit (19) and the joint body (16) adjacent a projection (27) which extends outwardly from the conduit (19). A stop member (36) extends inwardly from the socket (18). The projection engages the stop member (36) to limit linear movement of the conduit (19) relative to the joint body (16).</p> |
