The vertical flange (3) protruding from the bottom one (2) is bent over at a point clear of the latter. It forms an inclined surface (4) towards the horizontal flange, and gives the brick a generally overall V-section. The lengthwise end edge of the inclined portion can be set back from that of the horizontal flange. There can be a straight extension (8) on the free edge of the inclined portion, and which runs parallel to the horizontal flange.
