<p>Yarn liquid application device mounted upstream of loom yarn feeders comprises liquid tank (1,2) and a distribution unit consisting of two facing plates (6,7) partly plunged into the liquid with cooperating faces defining a gap where means (10,11) guide yarn (9) between the plates opposite the end in the liquid. Preferably the two plates extend vertically into the liquid, have chromium plated or ceramic faces one having concave face other convex, and both top ends bevelled and extend the same distance above the liquid level. Operation of screw (12) allows the distance between the plates to be adjusted from 0 to 1mm and further screw (42) adjusts pressure head (41) to vary the length of yarn in contact with end of the plate gap. Dandy roll (16) load with a force less than that on the yarn during operations removes the yarn from the plates on loom stopping. The liquid tank formed with two interconnected compartments (1,2) and is provided with overflow (5).</p> |
