<p>An absorbent article is described which delimits a front waistband section (12), a rear waistband section (14) and an intermediate section (16) which interconnects the front (12) and rear (14) waistband sections. The article includes a substantially fluid-impermeable backsheet layer (20), a liquid-permeable topsheet layer (22) positioned in facing relation with the backsheet layer (20), and an absorbent body (24) located between the backsheet layer (20) and topsheet layer (22). The article further defines a vapor-permeable humidity transfer area (30) in at least one of the waistband sections of the backsheet. A humidity transfer material (32) overlays the humidity transfer area (30) and extends over the absorbent body.</p> |
