The device for monitoring broadcasting for optical CATV includes: a main controlling means 6; first to third TV sub-controlling means 7-9 sequentially and mutually connected with the main controlling means 6; a stereo audio controlling means 10 connected to the third TV sub-controlling means 9 and outputting a monitoring stereo audio signal in response to an alarm signal, a monitoring audio signal, and a DS3 class audio multiplexed data; a broadcasting monitoring and controlling device 11 for displaying information concerning a failure from an optical CATV head end broadcasting apparatus 5, and outputting a monitoring TV channel and a stereo audio channel selection signal to the main controlling means 6; a TV monitoring means 12 for replaying the NTSC TV signal selected from the main controlling means 6 and the first to third TV sub-controlling means 7-9; and an audio monitoring means 13 for replaying a stereo audio signal in response to the monitoring audio signal received from the stereo audio controlling means 10.
