The temperature control device for a solder iron including a comparison control part comparing a temperature value of an iron body measured by a temperature sensor with a reference temperature; an integral calculus control part integrating the difference between the temperature of the iron body measured by the temperature sensor and the reference temperature for producing integral calculus control data; a differentiation control part differentiating the difference between the temperature of the iron body measured by the temperature sensor and the reference temperature and producing a differentiation control data; and a synthesizer synthesizing control data of the above control parts and an amount of power, supplied to the heater, according to the synthesized control data, having an analog/digital converter converting an output of the differentiation control part; a microcomputer detecting an amount of the varied temperature and controllinzg the driving of a power controller; and a power controller cutting off the power supplied to the heater under the control of the microcomputer.
