The device presents a number of supports (133-136) associated with a number of machining heads (22) and located at the front of the machine. For each machining head (22), the supports (133-136) are located on two superimposed surfaces (A, B) for respectively supporting a pack (14) of boards for loading and a pack (14) of boards unloaded off the work table (13). The supports (133-136) are fitted to a frame (100) which is moved vertically to position the two surfaces (A, B) at the table (13), and which is also movable laterally for enabling access to the machine. The device also presents a cross member (76) movable along the Y axis; and a number of arms (74) for alternately engaging two opposite edges (14', 14'') of the packs (14) and transferring them between the table (13) and the supports (133-136). The arms (74) are connected to a common connecting rod (92) which is moved to rotate and withdraw them clear of the packs (14) during the idle movement of the cross member (76). <IMAGE> |
