Payload for satellite with integrated transparent channel

The payload includes a number of transparent channels which are chosen from a greater number of antenna channels. Each channel has a certain bandwidth and a number of filters filter the received signals. The frequency transposition (DCO1-DCO16) is achieved by a switch coupled to a source of a number of different frequencies which provides one of them to the mixer. A number of pre-amplifiers (PA1-PA16) and power amplifiers (HP1-HP16), greater than the number of transparent channels, are allocated to the transparent channels with redundancy. A second set of filters (OMUX) filter the amplified signals prior to transmission. The mixer has a bandwidth exceeding the product of the single channel bandwidth and the number of transparent channels.
