The article to be displayed is placed on a rotating plate (22) driven by a micro-motor (20). The power source is a photovoltaic card (24) inserted in slot (14) in translucent base (12). Below card (26) is collector plate (26) in slot (16) providing contacts with micro-controller plate (28) in slot (18). The voltage generated is supplied to motor (20) through leads (19). The translucent plate (12) may also be situated above the display unit or in other positions.
