<p>PURPOSE: To make feeling at the time of steering uniform weight by changing a steering assist effort characteristic in regard to steering torque according to the average electric current flowing in a motor. CONSTITUTION: In the case of the average value of the drive electric current of a motor 6 having become more than a stipulated value, the inclination of a steering torque-motor current characteristic 33a is changed so that the drive electric current of the motor 6 may decrease in regard to the same steering torque. As a result, the increase of steering torque that is suddenly imposed on a person can be prevented, and in addition, the motor electric current can be reduced, and motor heating can be prevented.</p> |
