PRODUCTION OF POLYESTER COMPOSITION

PURPOSE: To obtain a process in which calcium carbonate particles can be easily added to a polyester to give a polyester composition which undergoes little decrease in intrinsic viscosity and has satisfactory particle dispersion. CONSTITUTION: The process comprises adding calcium carbonate particles having an average particle diameter of 0.05-2μm to a polyester in an amount of 0.01-10wt.% (based on the polyester) with a vented twin-screw kneader to evenly disperse the particles into the polyester.
