PURPOSE: To provide a method for neutralizing an alkali soil whereby a phosphoric acid compd., which facilitates the control of pH during neutralization with a small return of pH, can be used as the neutralizing agent. CONSTITUTION: An alkali soil is neutralized by mixing it with a substance contg. an aluminum compd. together with a substance contg. a water-sol. phosphoric acid compd. (e. g. calcium superphosphate). Alkali components (e.g. calcium hydroxide) present in the soil are neutralized with the phosphoric acid compd., and the phosphoric acid generated by the neutralization and unreacted phosphoric acid react with the aluminum compd. to form an insol. aluminum salt. Hence the dissolution of phosphoric acid from the soil after the neutralization is prevented. |
