PURPOSE: To provide a regenerator to detect collection quantity of particulates by way of moving a high frequency heating device and to consume a small amount of energy at that time. CONSTITUTION: This filter regenerator is furnished with a filter 19 to collect particulates, a high frequency generating device 20, a high frequency receiving part 24 provided on the filter 19, a high frequency electric power source 28 to supply electric power to the high frequency generating device 20 and a DC-AC inverter electric power source 29 to supply electric power to the high frequency electric power source 28 from a battery 30, and it is constituted to change over a high frequency output by a value provided on the high frequency receiving part 24.
