ULTRAVIOLET RAYS SHIELDING GLASS AND HEAT RAYS SHIELDING GLASS

PURPOSE: To allow a water repellent layer to serve as an over coat and to eliminate an over coating stage by forming an UV rays or a heat rays shielding layer on a surface of a glass plate and forming the water repellent layer consisting of a vitreous film on the surface of the UV rays or the heat rays shielding layer. CONSTITUTION: In the UV rays shielding glass 1, the surface of the glass plate 2 is washed, acid-treated and primer-treated and the UV rays shielding layer 4 is formed by using an UV rays absorber-containing coating agent through a primer layer 3. A water repellent treating agent using alkoxysilane and fluoroalkylsilane is applied on the surface of the UV rays shielding layer 4 and burned at 150-250 deg.C for 10-60min to form a water repellent layer 5 consisting of a vitreous film and an UV shielding glass is obtained. The heat rays shielding glass is obtained by subjecting chromium to vacuum deposition on the surface of the glass to form the heat rays shielding film, and forming the water repellent layer consisting of the vitreous film on its surface.
