<p>PURPOSE: To precisely and easily judge the proper replacement timing of a decomposition medium. CONSTITUTION: A projection 28 is fitted on an inner wall 13b of a garbage disposal vessel 13. A disposal medium such as sawdust is put in the garbage disposal vessel 13 in advance to such a degree that an agitating shaft is hidden. Garbage is thrown in, an agitating blade 14 integrated with an agitating shaft 15 is driven and rotated to agitate the garbage and the decomposition medium, and the garbage is subjected to decomposition disposal by microorganisms. When the decomposition medium is worn away or made fine to lower its function, decomposition disposal capacity is reduced. As a result, the volume of a mixture of the decomposition medium and the garbage is increased. For example, the time at which the volume is increased until the projection 28 is hidden is taken as the replacement time of the decomposition medium. The projection 28 accelerates the agitation of the mixture of the decomposition medium and the garbage.</p> |
