PURPOSE: To provide a glass tableware excellent in resistance to scratching and hard to cause upper edge chip or engraving chip, etc. CONSTITUTION: In this glass tableware, oxide films of tin and/or titanium are formed on a part or whole of an inner and outer surfaces of glass. Its film thickness is preferably regulated to 10-300Åfrom a viewpoint of strength and iris prevention. These oxide films are preferably formed by using a high temp. state of either after upper edge firing stage, after fire polishing stage, after burning off stage or during air cooling reinforcing stage.
