<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a new glycolipid derivative useful as an antigen for preparing an antibody capable of detecting the saccharide chain of a cancerated mucin type glycoprotein which is a cancer-related antigen secreted in a serum, by reacting a specific oligosaccharide with a lipid. CONSTITUTION: This new glycolipid derivative useful as an antigen for preparing an antibody resistant to a cancer-related antigen is represented by formula I R is H, a hydroxyl group-protecting group; X is azido, acetamido, amino; Y is phthalimido, acetamido, amino; one of R1 and R2 is H, and the other is a group of formula II [R4 is a group of the formula CHX1 CHX2 (CH2 )n CH3 (X1 , X2 are each H, an alkoxy; (n) is an integer of 10-25), etc.; R5 is a group of the formula CH(OR6 )CHX3 CHX4 (CH2 )m CH3 (R6 is H, a hydroxyl group- protecting group; X3 , X4 are each H, an alkoxy, or X3 and X4 together form a double bond; (m) is an integer of 10-25), etc.,]. The derivative is obtained by reducing the azide group of a compound of formula III (Y<1> is the same as Y) and subsequently acetylating the produced amino group.</p> |
