<p>PURPOSE: To easily prevent a latch operation, when required, while a latch can be operated under normal conditions. CONSTITUTION: In a note type personal computer, a latch body 24 is attached to a body of the computer and a striker 22 is mounted to an openable key board. When an operation plate 28 is in a storing position, the striker 22 can be engaged with or disengaged from a latch part 40. At a drawing-out position, the striker 22 can not be released from a latch part 44. The storing position and drawing-out position can be established successively as the operation plate 28 is pushed in a direction of arrow A and as long as the plate 28 is not pushed in, these positions are held as they are. At the drawing-out position of the plate 28, a large diameter portion 50 (lock hole) of an operation hole 46 is exposed outward from the latch body 24 and if a chain lock is passed through the portion 50, the chain lock serves as an obstacle so that the plate 28 is prevented from being pushed in.</p> |
