PURPOSE: To automatically and efficiently carry out a picking work without assistance of a hand-work. CONSTITUTION: An automatic warehouse comprises a rack device 1 having several article shelves on each of which articles W are laid longitudinally, having an outlet port 21 at one end thereof and an inlet port 20 at the other end thereof, a laterally and vertically movable longitudinal moving member 31 on the outlet side of the article shelf, an article receiver 32 provided in the longitudinally moving member, a picking device for taking out an article W from the article shelf and taking the same into the receiver 32, and a laterally and vertically movable article supply device on the article shelf inlet port 20 side of the rack device 1. |
