PURPOSE: To draw back a buckle in the case of abrupt deceleration of a vehicle so as to tighten a webbing and attain the planned purpose and after that to return the buckle to its ordinary position so as to improve operativity of an operation button. CONSTITUTION: A buckle 18 is drawn from its ordinary draw-out position to a draw-in position via wires 40, 42 wound around a drum 32 in the case of abrupt deceleration of a vehicle. After that, when the buckle draw-in force decreases and becomes less than the buckle draw-out force, load (F) which is equivalent to both difference acts on a projection part 50 so that the projection 50 is ruptured. Though an engagement part 64 of a pawl 58 is engaged with outer teeth 62 of an outer tooth gear 56 due to the rupture so that the outer tooth gear 56 is prevented from rotating in the buckle drawing out direction, the drum 32 is rotated in the buckle drawing out direction so that the buckle 18 can be returned to the draw-out position. The projection 68 abuts on a stopper 66 in the draw-out position so as to prevent the buckle 18 from drawing out further. |
