PURPOSE: To eliminate a memory in a recording part by mounting a request signal-generating means, an enable signal-outputting means, a transfer lock- outputting means, a print image data-transferring means from a formatter means, and a means for transferring the above print image data to a recording head. CONSTITUTION: The transmission of print image data for one line is requested from a recording means (engine), and an enable signal is outputted which indicates data transmission for one page to the recording means 160 from a formatter means 110 according to the request. As a result, when a clock signal for requesting print data transmission to the formatter means 110 from the recording means 160, synchronization with this signal is made, the print image data are transmitted to the engine 150 from the formatter means 110, and the transferred data are transferred to the recording head 190 for recording. All other than reference clock signals transferred here come into independent action for each color signal, so temporary recording of the print data in the recording part (engine) is not required. |
