<p>PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for controlling a rolling mill which is wide in the control range for the plate crown control during the rolling, small in the control delay, and simple in operation. CONSTITUTION: A stock 1 to be rolled is held by work rolls 2, and the upper and lower parts of the work rolls 2 are reinforced by a reinforcing roll 3, and the bending force is applied to these work rolls 2 to control the plate crown of the stock to be rolled. The cross angleθof the upper and lower work rolls 2 to the axes orthogonal to the moving direction of the stock to be rolled can be changed, and the work roll bending force and the work roll cross angleθare obtained by a control command arithmetic part 5 according to the target bending force to be obtained based on the change of the rolling load to be applied to the stock to be rolled, and the command value is given to a work roll bending force control device 8 and a work roll cross angle control device 9 to realize the variable control respectively.</p> |
