FIELD: lighting engineering. SUBSTANCE: small-sized underwater light has water-tight housing accommodating reflector whose concave reflecting surface is formed by body of revolution (truncated ellipsoid), halogen lamp mounted so that its longitudinal axis is along optical axis of ellipsoid and center of filament body is in first focus of ellipsoid, thermostatic port made of leucosapphire crystal plate whose axis is perpendicular to main optical axis of reflector. Thermostatic port covers face side of housing through sealed joint and is spaced from first focus of ellipsoid through on third to one second of distance between ellipsoid focuses.
