POLYESTER FILM

The biaxial orientation polyester film for magnetic recording media which improves antistatic property, has good evenness and antiblocking. Dicarboxylic acid which comprises mainly terephthalic acid reacts with glycol which comprises mainly ethylen glycol by esterification. The product polyester film has included more than 80 wt% ethylene terephthalate. The resin coextruded to biaxially oriented polyester film which is laminated polyester resin (A) containing inert inorganic particles and polyester resin (B) not containing inert inorganic particles. The melt specific resistance of (A) and (B) is 1-200M= ohm at 270 deg.C. The average diameter of inorganic particle is 50-300 nm, and it comprises spherical colloidal silica and 0.05-2.0 wt% of its amount is added to resin (B).
