METHOD FOR DETECTION OF PLACE OF RADIO TRANSMITTING SOURCES

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring of slope distance to radio transmitting source. This is achieved by reciprocal-slope probing of ionosphere using frequency that is close to frequency of radio source. Delay time for echo of reciprocal-slope probe signal from ground is measured in area where radio source is located. This signal is received by difference beam pattern of wide-base antenna-feeder system. Preliminary beam pattern is detected by azimuth and angle of position of radio source signal. EFFECT: increased precision of detection of coordinates.
