FIELD: natural resins processing, timber-chemical industry colophony-turpentine enterprises gum processing in particular. SUBSTANCE: gum processing method provides for gum delution by turpentine, melting with addition of orthophosphoric acid, following filtration, settling with turpentine separation, washing of separated turpentine and its boiling down. Melting is exercised in presence of sulfurous acid or sodium formaldehydesulfoxilote in amount of 0.05 - 1.0 % of gum mass. Turpentine washing is exercised by water solution of alkaline with liquid module of (3 - 5) : 1. Method provides new technical result, that is improved color index and colophony crystallization during gum processing is avoided.
