METHOD FOR SELECTION OF THEROPHYLLOUS COTTON PLANT WITH NATURAL BEIGE COLORED FIBERS

FIELD: cotton-growing. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing reciprocal crossing of selected grades of cotton plants serving as donors of colored fibers; treating selected natural hybrids F(1) of hybrids F(3) and F(2) of crossed pairs with 0.1%-aqueous solution of ethylenimyne for 10 hours; seeding treated seeds of the families and selecting elite plants among F(3) hybrids; effectuating crossing of selected elite plants. EFFECT: increased yield and improved quality of fibers satisfying requirements of textile industry.
