FIELD: engines; additives to suppress knocking in interval combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: used as additive is thickener (cementitious additive, hardening agent) of fuel (napalm, oils) which provides suppression of knocking by increasing antiknock stability of lean (slow-burning) mixtures without selection of jets by regulating fuel flow through jet by increasing viscosity of fuel. Additive is good for two-stroke and four-stroke engines, its expenditure does not exceed fractions of per cent, so jets are not get clogged and combustion of fuel does not get worse despite the fact that atomizing of fuel is somewhat decreased. Novelty is control of fuel rate by increasing fuel viscosity. EFFECT: reduced service expenses of carburetor engines owing to use of cheap grades of gasoline, reduced toxicity of exhaust gases owing to leaning of mixture. |
