The cover is made of waterproof material, preferably canvas. On two of its parallel sides there are pockets (2) which can hold chambers filled with gaseous fluid. Between these pockets there are other pockets (3) which also have inflatable chambers with the same or a smaller area than the chambers in the pockets at the edge.The assembly pockets-chambers forms a network of pneumatic stiffeners which enable to adjust the height of the cover above the surface of the refuse. On one of the sides which does not have a pocket, there is a drip flap (4) which has attachments (5) which allow it to partially overlap the edge of the adjacent cover.
