The box, generally parallelepiped in shape, consists of a pallet base (1), four vertical panels (2,3,4,5) which are independent of the base, and a lid (6). Three (2,3,4) of the vertical panels are joined together by horizontal steel wires (30) held in place by staples (31), allowing the panels to be folded, and the ends of the wires have loops (32) designed to engage with loops (53) on the ends of horizontal wires stapled to the fourth panel.The base has a raised surround (10) forming a tray to receive the folded vertical panels, which are covered by the lid when the box is packed flat. The lid can be held in place by self-adhesive strips (15).
