The system comprises a bracket body (16) and a plunger tube (20) pivoted to each other by a rotational axis (19). One end of the body has a valve (12) supplying air to the compression chamber (13). A chamfered piston (17), whose sloping surface is supported on the end of a stop (18) fixed to the plunger tube, slides in the body longitudinal direction during bracket oscillation.This piston returns oil (1) through the orifice (7) of the partitioning pin (2), compressing the air, which is separated from the oil by a free piston (14), in the compression chamber (13). The damping hardness and its locking are accomplished by adjusting a knurled wheel (4) fixed to a needle valve (5) which obstructs the oil passage orifice (7). The partitioning pin is held to the body by a screw (3) and sealed by toroidal joints (6,15).
