Transferring rotary drive forces to spindles e.g. for workpiece machining process

The method involves advancing several spindles (31) intermittently in succession to defined positions. (A1-A8) A rotary drive force is transferred to the spindle which is to be advanced to the defined position. A drive side magnetic coupling (11) is arranged at the defined position and magnetic couplings (12) attached on the driven side of each spindle corresp. to the drive side coupling.The driven side couplings can be coaxial with the corresp. spindle and can face the corresp. drive side coupling at the defined position via a defined gap. The drive side magnetic coupling is rotated, whereby the rotary drive force is applied to the spindle which is to be driven to the defined position.
