The invention concerns a hose connector consisting of an essentialy rigid plastic tube (2), a rigid sleeve (3) designed to be inserted into the end of the plastic tube (2) and fixed in place, a hose (1) surrounding the sleeve (2) and a clamp element (4) designed to apply a radial force at least in the region of the connection (10). In order to provide a hose connector of this kind with improved leaktightness and for which the manufacturing process can be more easily automated, the invention calls for the hose (1) to be seated directly on the metal sleeve (3) and for the metal sleeve (3) to have surface features (9) along a connection zone (7), the surface features (9) pressing against the inside surface of the plastic tube (2) to form a leaktight seal when the connector is assembled. |
