A textile covering comprises a plate-like component (3,4) at each lateral end section opposite each other. The components are made of rigid plastics and three of their side edges (3a,3b,3d;4a,4b,4d) are inserted under the folded edge (5a-5d) of the textile covering on the corresponding sides and are fastened with this edge.
