<p>The present invention relates to a method of treating different chlorine-containing materials, such as waste, and of biosludges at a high temperature of above 830 °C and of cooling generated process gases in order to minimize the amount of polyhalogenated aromatic compounds in the generating process gases. The process gases are cooled below 400 °C in the presence of a certain reagent. The cooling is preferably carried out in a circulating fluidized bed reactor.</p> |
