<p>The device is intended for transferring packages from a discharge conveyor in a packing machine into a three-dimensional array in form of layers arranged on shelves (24) positioned above one another. There are provided means (2) for assembling a number of packages in a row, the total length of which does not exceed a predetermined value, means (20, 21) for successive lateral movement of successively formed rows for the formation of an assembly of adjacent rows in a layer on a shelf (24) at a predetermined level (24a) in the three-dimensional array, the total length of the assembly transversely to the length of the rows not exceeding a predetermined value, and means (33-35) for raising the shelves for successive filling of subjacent shelves.</p> |
