The supplementary cover sheet (7) is bent at right-angles at two neighbouring edges (8,9) such that adjacent sides of the stack (1) have adjoining sides (11,12). As seen in the delivery direction (13) the stack has a leading folded edge (8) and a parallel folded edge (9). The cover sheet is provided with a corner cutout (14) in the region of the adjoining edges. The paper stack is composed of several spiral bound pads with the bindings (6) arranged in an alternating manner.
