<p>The present invention relates to the use of gene transfer to inhibit non-neoplastic pathological cell proliferation. An eukaryotic expression vector comprising a polynucleotide sequence that codes for a dominant-negative cell cycle regulatory protein is delivered to a proliferating cell. Delivery is accomplished by infusing the expression vector into an artery that perfuses or contains the proliferating cell.</p> |
