<p>A food product container including a base, a sidewall (126) extending from the base (124), the sidewall terminating in a flange (130) and at least one projection (121f) made of a meltable plastic material extending from at least a portion of the flange. The projection facilitates heat sealing a paperboard lid coated with plastic to the flange in order to enclose the food product in the container. The container further has a food container jacket (121) partially surrounding the food container tray. The food container jacket has a bottom flap disposed adjacent to at least one side flap (121b) extending from the bottom flap and disposed adjacent to at least a portion of the sidewall. The side flap has a section secured to the sidewall. In this way, the food container jacket and the food container tray form the food product container.</p> |
