The device has a supporting stand (1) with a cutter (6), which can be moved vertically, while a simultaneous lateral motion is created by only two linear guides (4). The guides are arranged between the stand and the cutter, or a component (5) which supports it, and are inclined at different angles.The cutter, or the component, can pivot on runners (10), which are shape-mated to the guides. The axes of the pivots are parallel to one another, and are perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of the guides. They are located at roughly the same level as the cutting edge (6a).
