This application relates to a machine constructed from a horizontal bench in one part of which are located cable drawing and guide means, together with other members e.g. encoder 54 which measure the length of cable passing over the guide means. Also the machine incorporates pneumatic grippers 16 whose function is to firmly secure two points on the cable between which knife blocks 23, 24 located above and below the cable act, whose movement is subject to a vertical pneumatic piston and whose function is to cut and strip one end of the cable following the operation of measuring the length of the cable itself. <IMAGE>
