The apparatus comprises a tuning unit for converting frequency into a high frequency by a user; an image detecting unit for detecting an image signal in the intermediate frequency signal; a high frequency signal discriminating unit for discriminating whether there is information on TV in the intermediate frequency signal of the tuning unit; a memory for storing a reception channel information for the TV signal; a chromatic processing unit for separating a blue-luminance signal and a red-luminance signal from the image signal of the image detecting unit, and checking the phase difference between the blue and red-luminance signals; and a control unit for changing the channel of the tuning unit, and storing tuned data including the channel information under tuning by the high frequency signal discriminating unit, and transfer information of the TV signal received from the chromatic processing unit.
