The evacuation system uses an evacuation drive (10), used to bring the lift cabin to the nearest floor upon failure of the lift operating system, to allow the lift passengers to be released. The lift cabin movement velocity is detected during the evacuation mode and the lift braking device (8) is operated to halt it at the nearest floor, with information marked along the lift shaft scanned for detecting the lift cabin position. The lift cabin door is opened at the end of the evacuation movement, at least by a sufficient amount to allow the release of the passengers, via an opening spring. |
