The apparatus comprises a magnetic resonance unit having an antenna, an amplifier, a demodulator, a controller, an A/D converter, a sampling clock generator, a data transfer line, an image signal processor, and a display unit. The apparatus further includes a low pass filter for eliminating high frequency components from a signal of the demodulator. The method features setting up a proper frequency by controlling cutoff frequency of the low pass filter according to the frequency bandwidth of the FID.
