Compression resistance of the matl. exceeds 200 kg/m2. The grooves are on the outer surface which contacts the coating or parquet elements, which are fixed to the laths of stable matl. and of thickness equal to the groove depth. Pref the laths are of wool, reinforced agglomerate, plywood, or a wood/metal composite; the capping may also be of cork, rubber, light agglomerate, or expanded asbestos. The capping provides thermal and acoustic insulation. |
