Outer shell for cemented acetabular cups

The bottom (10) of a cemented femoral socket is constituted by a semi-rigid hemispherical metallic grille (11). This spherical grille is freely placed between the patient's acetabulum (20) and the socket insert. The grill has three bosses (13b) which engage with corresponding holes (21b) made in the acetabulum.
