The method involves forming the module (2) for incorporation in a optical fibre cable consisting of e.g. six optical fibres (3) held together by a strip (4) of resin with a modulus of elasticity less than 12000 psi. The resin is first applied (102) to the fibres which are laid parallel with their axes in a common plane. The resin is then partially reticulated (103) to constitute a strip for rolling into the form of a tube whose cylindrical shape is maintained by completion of the reticulation operation. |
