Pivoting device

The pivot mechanism has cooperating upper and lower parts, with a stop mechanism acting between them, for limiting the movement of the upper part relative to the lower part. The lower part (2) has a ball race (3) containing a number of balls (4) and receiving an element (6) of the upper part and at least one stop element (5). The ball race has at least one filling opening (7) allowing insertion of the balls and is pref. circular with the stop element dividing it into 2 equal sections, each of which may have a respective filling opening.
